Update on Joey After Violent Mid-Ohio Rolex GT Race Crash

June 25, 2006

The family of Joey Hand would like to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. He was released from the hospital last night after x-rays and scans with no injuries. He is fine! No broken bones, no concussions. He's just very sore and we are thankful for that.

Joey would like to thank all those who tended to him so quickly, the team and friends watching over him, and BMW for building a tough, solid car.

You can find Joey back at the track (Mid-Ohio) today commentating for the Grand-Am Cup race.

Doctors have cleared him to race next weekend in Lime Rock, CT for the American LeMans Series.

Thank you.
